Publication rules
BinPapa helps people share documented EEPROM captures. It is not a compatibility guarantee or a blanket license for third-party firmware.

Catalog access and downloads
Search the full published catalog without registration. Five selected demonstration records and their files are also available without an account. An account is required to open protected record details. Protected BIN/HEX/JSON downloads, full HEX and comparisons of protected data require a confirmed email. Signed-in users can submit requests without email confirmation. Administrators are exempt from email verification, not the quota. Each account may access 20 distinct EEPROMs within a rolling 24-hour window. BIN, HEX, JSON and full byte previews share SHA-256-based accounting. Retrieving an already opened EEPROM within that window uses no additional slot and does not bypass access checks. Moderators have separate role-controlled access to materials under review; ordinary downloads follow the same account rules.
If a firmware is missing, submit a request in your account. A request does not guarantee availability, delivery time or hardware compatibility.
Rights and provenance
Upload only material you are entitled to reproduce and redistribute. Describe its origin and permission basis, and provide supporting information to the moderator when needed. Availability online or successfully reading a device does not by itself authorize redistribution. Do not assign a third party's license on their behalf.
By submitting for publication, you ask BinPapa to store and display the supplied information and make the approved file downloadable within the rights you confirm. Third-party rights do not transfer automatically; explain any restrictions to the moderator before publication.
Safety and quality
Do not upload secrets, other people's personal information or intentionally malicious material. Describe modifications, read tools, hardware revision, known addresses and memory coverage. A partial EEPROM must not be described as complete firmware. SHA-256 establishes identical bytes, not correctness or compatibility.
Human review
An upload creates a draft. After a separate submission, a moderator reviews the file and information and may reject it with a reason or withdraw an existing publication. The author receives an account notification. Approval means publication approval, not a hardware test or legal certification.
Before use
Check the exact model and revision, save the original capture and ensure you can recover the device. Do not write an unfamiliar file to production equipment without testing. A successful report on one device does not establish compatibility with a whole product family.
